Wireless networks are growing in popularity with new secure devices encrypting the information and therefore preventing your information from leaking through the airwaves.

Many modern handheld computers and laptops have wireless ability built in. Although many of these devices are marketed as being secure some configuration will be needed to enable these features, unfortunately many existing wireless networks are operating with no secure features enabled or incorrect configurations allowing anyone passing nearby to look at the network traffic and enjoy free internet access.
